Spelling practice that works with dyslexia, not against it
Hear a word spoken normally, then slowly. Read what it means. Then spell it. SpellSense teaches the most common English words first and uses spaced repetition so the words you find hard come back until they stick.

Audio first
Every word is spoken at natural speed and again slowly, so you can hear each syllable before you write anything.
Useful words first
Words are taught in order of how often they appear in real English, so effort goes where it pays off.
Built to be readable
Wide letter spacing, a low-glare background and a typeface chosen to reduce visual crowding.
Common questions
- What does an account do?
- It saves your progress so it follows you between devices. Without one, progress is kept in this browser only.
- Which words does it teach?
- The most frequently used words in English first, in order. You learn the words you actually read and write every day before rare ones.
- What happens when I get a word wrong?
- It comes back much sooner. Spelling a word correctly pushes its next review further away; getting it wrong resets that progress so you see it again the same day.
